TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Ownership & Contracting Party
OrigamiHost.co.za is a product of Veesion Solutions (Pty) Ltd. By signing up for any service on OrigamiHost.co.za, you acknowledge and agree that you are entering into a contract with Veesion Solutions (Pty) Ltd, and all obligations, rights, and liabilities described herein are binding upon both parties accordingly.

Origamihost.co.za products and/or services offered by OrigamiHost.co.za may include, but are not limited to, hosting, website design, web development, and social media integration where applicable. OrigamiHost.co.za reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to make changes from time to time, and without prior notice, regarding the products or services that are offered on the website, and as to how they are offered.
INDEMNIFICATION POLICY
You agree to use all Origami Host services and facilities at your own risk. Origami Host specifically disclaims all warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall Origami Host be liable for any loss, or loss of data, or other commercial damage, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or other damages. Customer agrees that it shall defend, indemnify, save, and hold Origami Host harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs, and claims, including reasonable attorney’s fees asserted against Origami Host, its agents, its customers, officers, and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed or any product sold by customer, its agents, employees, or assigns. Customer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Origami Host against liabilities arising out of any injury to person or property caused by any products sold or otherwise distributed in connection with Origami Host’s server. Origami Host reserves the right to intervene with any of the sites hosted on its servers in the interest of its customers. Any material supplied by customer infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party, copyright infringement, or any defective products sold to customer from Origami Host’s server shall be the sole judgment of Origami Host as to what violates this policy.
IDENTIFICATION
Origami Host reserves the right, at any time, to request verification of the identity of the Primary Account Holder. Failure to produce such verification could result in summary suspension or cancellation of the product(s) and services.
The Client (or the Client’s agent) certifies that the Client is above the age of 18 years, has the full contractual capacity, and (in the case of an agent) is duly authorised by the Client to contract on the Client’s behalf.
BILLING
At this time, we bill monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually. We accept Visa EFT Payments and Mastercard payments via PayFast. We also accept payments via direct deposit into our bank account. For Web Hosting plans, we will set up your account upon receiving payment. Clients are encouraged to pay by credit card as it is the easiest way to handle payment at this time.
There are no contract periods, but for each successive period, your contract is automatically renewed unless we are notified otherwise 5 days before your next invoice could be renewed. Once the next successive month invoice has run and been sent to the client, when the 5 days before the invoice is due have expired, you are then liable to pay the outstanding amount.

Please note we do not refund full amounts since purchase; if unsatisfied with service, we refund you only for that month alone. Only web hosting is refundable.
Please note: Accounts with proof of payment are not guaranteed activation or credit due to a large number of fake proofs of payment being sent. The billing team will process payment only after management approval or confirmation of funds. Submit proof of payment early to ensure your account remains active.
We do not apply refunds prior to 60 days for any service. Domains will not be registered without prior payment.

AMENDMENTS
You agree that OrigamiHost may amend this agreement at any time without notice to you. You agree to keep advised of any changes by checking OrigamiHost communications, this page and the website announcement pages periodically.
Continued use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
ACCOUNT TERMINATION
You may terminate your account at any time during the month. You have the option to:
- Keep your hosting account active until the last day of the current billing period, after which the account will be terminated; or
- Terminate your account immediately, in which case the account will be permanently closed and all content removed from OrigamiHost servers.
Termination is irreversible. To cancel your account, please email support@origamihost.co.za before your billing period expires or submit a cancellation request via the client area.
CREDITS
Credits on accounts due to incorrect billing by the billing department will be processed immediately. Credits to bank accounts can only be done 21 days from the request.
LATE PAYMENTS
All accounts are billed according to the dates they were first activated. Accounts unpaid 1 day after the service due date may be suspended. Accounts unpaid 60 days after deactivation may be terminated, and all files and backups permanently deleted. You will receive reminders via email and optionally SMS. OrigamiHost will not be liable for service loss due to non-payment. We recommend paying a few days early to avoid suspension.
DOMAINS
Domain purchases are non-refundable. Registering or transferring a domain requires agreement to the Domain Name Registration Agreement. Domains renew at the same price as new registrations unless discounts apply. Domain renewal reminders will be sent via email. After 29 days past expiration, domains enter redemption, incurring a $250–$300 renewal fee, to be paid by the client by day 36. After this, domains may be re-registered if available.
Should an expired domain enter the redemption period, the cost of restoring the domain shall be no more than R7200.
Origami Host is accredited by ZACR (https://www.registry.net.za). By registering/transferring a domain, you agree to ZACR rules.
ACCEPTABLE USAGE POLICY
All services must be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage, or presentation of any illegal, copyrighted, or obscene material is prohibited. The subscriber agrees to indemnify and hold OrigamiHost harmless from any claims resulting from service usage. Pornography, hacking, pirated content, spam, and excessive server load are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in suspension or termination without refund.
RESOURCE USAGE & EXCESSIVE USAGE
Users may not:
- Use ≥25% of system resources for longer than 90 seconds.
- Run stand-alone, unattended server-side processes.
- Run web spiders/indexers on shared servers.
- Run IRC software, BitTorrent, file-sharing, or gaming servers.
- Run cron jobs more frequent than 15 minutes.
- Run MySQL queries longer than 15 seconds.
- Force server-side code through HTML unnecessarily.
- Use HTTPS unless required (CPU-intensive).
Excessive usage may include large databases (>4GB), excessive inode count (>200,000 soft limit, 250,000 hard limit), or high bandwidth/disk I/O. Such accounts may be suspended or excluded from backups at OrigamiHost’s discretion.
SLA – SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT
Origami Host provides a 99% uptime guarantee for hosting services per calendar month, subject to:
- Active, good-standing accounts only (no suspensions or overdue payments).
- Excludes downtime outside Origami Host’s control (e.g., DDoS, upstream network issues, scheduled maintenance).
- Clients must open a support ticket within 10 days of the month ending to qualify.
- Service credits are at Origami Host’s discretion, applied to future invoices only; no cash refunds.
- This SLA does not apply to suspended accounts or client-caused downtime.
ZERO TOLERANCE PHISHING POLICY
Accounts hosting phishing pages will be suspended/terminated immediately, with or without notice. No refunds apply. Investigation fees of R750/hour may apply.
SPAMMING & BULK EMAIL
Accounts sending unsolicited emails may be suspended. A 3-strike policy applies; persistent spam results in indefinite suspension. Accounts may also be fined R400 for severe violations.
WEBMAIL & VIRUS/SPAM FILTERING
Webmail is provided “as is” with limited storage. Spam/virus filtering may incorrectly block messages; OrigamiHost is not liable for lost data.
USE AT CLIENT RISK
Clients expressly agree that use of Origami Host’s servers and services is at their own risk.
TROUBLESHOOTING / SUPPORT
We assist with support but cannot guarantee resolution of website issues, migration problems, or third-party software compatibility. Optimisation help may be offered, but ultimate responsibility lies with the client.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & DISCLAIMER
OrigamiHost is not responsible for system downtime, crashes, data loss, or predicted revenue loss. Liability for direct damages is limited to the charges paid for affected services. OrigamiHost disclaims all warranties, express or implied.
UNLIMITED & SHARED HOSTING
“Unlimited” features must not adversely impact other users. Excessive resource usage may result in suspension. Shared hosting accounts must comply with all terms; content violating rules (pornography, copyright infringement, hacking, spam) may be removed or suspended without refund.
INODE LIMITATIONS & BACKUPS
- Soft inode limit: 200,000; hard limit: 250,000.
- Accounts exceeding soft limit may be removed from backups.
- Shared hosting accounts >20GB are excluded from weekly backups (databases still backed up).
- Suspended accounts are not backed up.
- We maintain a weekly backup which is updated every Sunday
LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA
OrigamiHost is not liable for data loss or corruption, including suspension, deletion, system crashes, viruses, or power outages. Clients are responsible for maintaining backups. Weekly backups are maintained where possible.
TERM / TERMINATION
- Effective upon account creation.
- Clients may terminate at any time via support@origamihost.co.za or client portal.
- Termination by OrigamiHost may occur for breaches, non-payment, or violations.
- We do not maintain backups for terminated accounts
GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
